A Christ-centered, early Celtic Tradition, non residential community located in Auckland, New Zealand

Services are held either in the outdoor chapel pictured above or at the Soldiers Memorial Chapel in Titirangi

Being a semi-eremitical (semi-hermit) community, most of our worship takes place within our own cells (homes). To help with this, we send out two daily e-mails. The first titled "Celtic Saints for the Day" contains the names and information regarding the particular Saints for any given day. The second is a "Daily Celtic Reading" which contains a theme for the day, Bible readings and a Meditation along with a closing prayer.

Community Services normally take place on the 2nd and last Fridays of each month  and are held either at the Soldiers Memorial Chapel in Titirangi or at the outdoor Birdwood Chapel . The Seasons are also celebrated with special Services. To find out when and where upcoming Services are held, please use the Calendar link at the top of each page.

Locally, we follow the Johannine Tradition of "listening for the heartbeat of God" in all things. The Liturgies we use in our Services hopefully reflect that in the mixture of Celtic and Orthodox material.

Liturgies we use:

Divine Liturgy of Saint Fillan

Disert Missal

Divine Liturgy of Saint Joseph of Arimathea

Divine Liturgy of Saint Aristobulos

Kiloran Missal

The Gallic Rite

Celtic Evening Eucharist

The above Liturgies have been published by our mother community (Community of St. Ita & St. Fillan) and are available here. (We're currently in the process of putting together our own stand-alone Service book which will include such things as the Celtic Evening Eucharist, Seasonal Celebrations, Healing Service, House Blessings and so on. This, being a rather large task, will inevitably take some time.)

Note: There are churches which deny people the Sacraments because their Church is not in Communion with another or because the person is not baptised or for whatever other reasons. Simply put, to us it doesn't matter if you are Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, Muslim, any faith tradition or no faith tradition at all, baptised or not, you are most welcome at our services.

We believe we are called to

a) treat all as if they were Christ himself and respond accordingly,

b) respond to need as Christ himself would respond.

and therefore we offer the Sacrament of Holy Communion to all who reverently desire it and are prompted by the Holy Spirit so to seek God.
